20 Most Outrageously Violent Movies Since 2000

17. Planet Terror

Quentin Tarantino's contribution to the Grindhouse double feature, Death Proof, might have disappointed many with its incredibly slow build up to the admittedly great car chase, but no such reservations were given for the Robert Rodriguez segment, Planet Terror. Planet Terror is about as perfect an homage to the exploitation flicks of the '70s as you're likely to ever see - meaning it is cheap, schlocky, wildly over the top and a whole lot of fun. The violence is of course pretty full on throughout, but Rodriguez's lurid sensibilities transform it into a riotous viewing experience, while heroin Cherry's modified M4 Carbine with M203 grenade launcher leg attachment is one of the coolest transformations in recent years.
