20 Most Rewatchable Movies Of The 21st Century

7. 21 Jump Street (2012)

Columbia Pictures/Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures

There aren't many comedies that don't feature at least one flat gag - even the best usually have someone to dish out the duds. But not only is 21 Jump Street a rare cringe-free laffer, it's also a worthy recipient of that over-used phrase 'laugh-a-minute', so packed with jokes that you hardly have time to marvel at how surprisingly hilarious Channing Tatum is.

As an undercover cop partnered with Jonah Hill's nervy recruit to bust a high school drugs ring, even more unexpected is how Tatum makes such a suited double act with comedy staple Hill. Of course, no one expected this thing to work, including writer-directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who refer in the film to the fact that it's an "undercover police programme...revamped for a modern audience", because "the guys in charge of this stuff lack creativity."

You get the feeling the film works so well because the pressure of high expectations was off. Whatever the reason, 21 Jump Street works despite itself, only increasing in hilarity with each subsequent watch. Go on, give it another viewing - it's what Korean Jesus would've wanted.
