2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret Of The Ooze (1991)
During the '80s and early '90s Hollywood (and cooperate America as a whole) didn't really know what to make of hip-hop culture. They knew it was growing in popularity and they knew there was money to be made but they didnt understand it all that well. Nowhere is that more apparent then when they relentlessly tried to make Vanilla Ice a thing. Aside from the fact that he somehow sold over 10 millions records Vanilla Ice was actually a rising star in Hollywood for a time. Who could forget his "classic" cameo and subsequent song "Ninja Rap" at the end of Ninja Turtles 2? This promotional still featuring Ice on set should forever be looked at like a time capsule of a time when America had absolutely no idea what the hell rap really was.
1. Batman & Robin (1997)
Well, this is it, the absolute most ridiculous movie promotional image of all time! Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze sitting on a makeshift ice chair like a boss! Is it everything you were expecting? We don't know what's sillier, the polar bear slippers or the fact that he seems to be smoking a cigar (which seems to be a little counterintuitive if you ask us). Just looking at this image brings back all sorts of bad memories. The ice puns, the bat nipples, and even the bat credit card. Joel Schumacher did a pretty good job at killing the Batman franchise (albeit temporarily) but the promotion for the film was probably the nail in the coffin. Whats the most ridiculous promo image you remember seeing? Let us know in the comment section below.
