20 Most Surprising Rotten Tomatoes Scores Of 2017

9. All Eyez On Me

Summit Entertainment

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 17%

After Straight Outta Compton blew past everyone's expectations back in 2015, scoring 87% critical approval and even a Best Original Screenplay Oscar nomination, it seemed likely that this Tupac Shakur biopic might follow in a similar vein.

Not even scoring mixed reviews, though, All Eyez On Me was widely panned for its excessive runtime, poor editing and generic approach to a potentially fascinating story. In fact, the only consistent praised was awarded to Demetrius Shipp Jr.'s impressive performance as Tupac, which clearly deserved a much better film.

Considering how well the marketing sold this as another Straight Outta Compton, it ultimately fell depressingly short of the mark.
