17. The Egg Sandwich Assassination - Birds Of Prey
Birds of Prey is certainly one of the most daringly wacky DCEU movies so far, yet perhaps nothing in the film is more memorable than Harley Quinn's (Margot Robbie) damn egg sandwich.
The glorious creation, filmed with a quasi-pornographic flair by director Cathy Yan, is lovingly purchased by Harley early in the movie, but just as she's about to take a bite, she's chased by doggedly determined cop Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez).
The outcome for Harley and her sandwich is ultimately a tragic one, as just when she thinks she's lost Montoya's tail, Montoya emerges out of nowhere and tackles her, sending the egg sandwich flying into the air and splattering on the pavement below.
The loss is depicted in hilariously overwrought, slow-motion terms, as Harley explains, "It took losing something I truly love for me to see that the target on my back was bigger than I thought."
