12. David Thewlis Is Ares - Wonder Woman
You won't find many people who disagree that Wonder Woman's third act is easily the worst part of the movie, in large part due to the fact that it over-extends itself with an additional, pointless CGI battle between Diana and Ares.
While the film led viewers to believe that General Ludendorff (Danny Huston) would be revealed as Ares, this ultimately turns out to be a red herring, and bureaucrat Sir Patrick Morgan (David Thewlis) instead reveals himself to have been the god of war hiding in plain sight all along.
This needn't have been so laughable were it not for the fact that we're forced to sit through a decidedly video game-y final battle in which Thewlis' face ridiculously pokes out from a mostly-CGI suit of armour.
It looks incredibly silly, and could've been immediately fixed by simply having the helmet cover all of Thewlis' face. Instead, everyone was left cracking jokes about Nigel Thornberry being the real baddie.
