12. Judi Dench - Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Though the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie was almost completely forgettable, at least there was a totally random, wildly out of left-field Judi Dench cameo to savour.

While fleeing soldiers in London, Johnny Depp's loveable rogue Jack Sparrow ends up catapulting himself into the carriage of an aristocratic older woman, played by Dench.

Sparrow hilariously gives her a smooch before making his escape, causing Dench to ask in a disappointed manner, "Is that it?", until she realises that Sparrow has stolen one of her earrings.

It's all sorts of immersion-breaking to see an actress of Dench's caliber slumming it in a nothing role in a franchise blockbuster like this, but it's genuinely one of the few memorable scenes from the entire movie.
