9. Madonna - Die Another Day

And the award for the most unsubtle, mind-bogglingly out-of-place cameo in blockbuster movie history just might go to Madonna's widely-lambasted appearance in Pierce Brosnan's final Bond film, Die Another Day.

Madge of course provided the film's title song, and so managed to snag a part in the film as a fencing instructor. Upon meeting Bond, she tells him, "I see you handle your weapon well", to which he retorts, "I have been known to keep my tip up".

It's almost impossible to actually pay attention to the scene, which introduces Bond and the audience to two pivotal characters, because Madonna's presence is so absurd and distracting. It doesn't help that her departing line to Bond is, "I don't like cockfights". Jeez.
