20 Movie Sequels That Were JUST Confirmed

2009's horror film Orphan seemed like a sure-fire one-off considering that Isabelle Fuhrman's villain Esther died at the end.

However, in 2022 an utterly deranged prequel, Orphan: First Kill, materialised, requiring extensive trick photography and makeup effects to make a now mid-twenties Fuhrman still resemble a child - or rather, an adult woman with a hormone disorder who looks like a child.

First Kill's success swiftly led to discussions of a potential threequel, and in November the film, titled Orphans, indeed began filming.

Orphans has seemingly been mounted as an "interquel" set between First Kill and the original Orphan, in which Leena/Esther (Fuhrman) faces off against an even more monstrous predator than herself.

Given that Fuhrman is now 28 years old, the potential for absurdity here is high, though it at least helps that these movies aren't in the business of taking themselves all that seriously.
