2. Chicken Run 2

Chicken Run 2 is one of those oft-discussed sequels that fans have long since accepted won't ever actually get made, though hope was restored in 2018 when Aardman Animations confirmed that the film was indeed going ahead.

Sam Fell (ParaNorman) will direct a script penned by the original film's writers Karey Kirkpatrick and John O'Farrell, and though word quickly went quiet on the film's development, it was confirmed in late 2019 that Chicken Run 2 had actually started filming.

Plot details remain firmly under wraps and it's still unclear whether or not Mel Gibson will indeed return, but given that Aardman's stop-motion movies generally take 12-18 months to produce, it's evidently going to hit cinemas in 2021.
