20 Film & TV Remakes You Didn't Know Were Coming

Some movies have found fame over the years largely because of factors outside of the run time itself. The perception of The Blair Witch Project for example, and the whole debate over whether it was real or not lent it an air of mystery and intrigue that simply couldn't be matched by any sequel or remake that followed.

The same will likely be said about Faces of Death. The original from 1978 caused a similar stir in regards to people not knowing exactly how much reality was on screen. While The Blair Witch Project presented the film as a real life mystery, Faces of Death forced audiences to question whether the violence being shown on screen was real or not.

As such, the upcoming remake will likely suffer, as it doesn't have this external mystique surrounding it.

Instead, the plot will play with the idea, with a content moderator having to try and figure out whether re-enactments of the first film's violence are real. Unfortunately, this reboot appears to be missing out the uncertainty and controversy that drove audiences to see the original, and so this will likely go the way of the Blair Witch remake, in that no one will either watch it or care.
