20 Film & TV Remakes You Didn't Know Were Coming
15. Murder, She Wrote
There are some characters that just feel like they were made to be played by one single person. Robert Downey Jr. IS Tony Stark, no one could pull off Deadpool like Ryan Reynolds, and Bryan Cranston was simply a revelation as Walter White.
However, that doesn't mean that those roles won't eventually be rebooted and recast. As a collective, an audience just has to hope that whoever comes in can do it justice, which is exactly how it feels for the upcoming Murder, She Wrote movie.
The series ran for 12 years between 1984 and 1996, with Jessica Fletcher being made famous by Angela Lansbury. She was nominated for an Emmy every single year she played the character, and has left some mighty big shoes to fill. However, the casting of Jamie Lee Curtis as the legendary sleuth is one that could prove to be simply inspired.
The bona fide legend will be teaming up with Jason Moore, director of Pitch Perfect and the upcoming Legally Blonde series, and producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who frankly seem incapable of making a bad film.
