11. Michael Myers (Halloween)
In perhaps one of the most well-loved slasher films in one of the most lucrative slasher franchises, we're first introduced to Michael Myers in an extended point-of-view shot in Halloween. We witness from his point-of-view as he peers into a bedroom and dons a clown mask. He then takes the knife he grabbed from the kitchen and stabs the young girl in the house to death. It's not until after he emerges from the house that we learn that he's merely a prepubescent boy. Michael Myers is incorrigibly evil, a man who despite being locked in a looney bin and worked on by psychiatrists for the majority of his life, is just as blood thirsty as ever when he finally reaches the outside. He goes on a killing spree, mowing down the local fornicating teens before meeting his end at the hands of Jamie Lee Curtis. Or does he??
Why We Can't Help But Love Him: While Freddy Kruger might crack bad puns, Michael Myers remains silent, instead pulling off subtle moments of humor like dressing up as a ghost and posing as a young girl's boyfriend before he kills her.
