20 Movies Destroyed By Their Plot Holes
7. Frozen - The Worst Ski Resort Ever
No, not that Frozen. This one is a fairly weak horror film from 2010, where three skiers are left trapped on a ski lift after it is switched off for the weekend. They face freezing to death if they do not make their escape, which is hampered by the presence of dangerous wolves down below.
Much like with 28 Weeks Later, this is a horror tragedy that couldn't have felt less earned. The three main characters persuade the chair lift operator to let them up for one last run late at night, but the operator hands this over to a second staff member, and this staff member immediately shuts the lift off once he sees three other skiers arrive back at ground level.
Simply put, this scenario is a load of rubbish. In real life, whenever a ski resort shuts down, the lift is checked on to make sure no-one is still on it, and even without that knowledge, it immediately seemed ridiculous that any well-established ski resort would be so careless.
If the rest of the movie had been better, this could've been forgiven, but even then, Frozen would've had to do a lot of work to win audiences back after such an idiotic inciting incident.
