Any nerd worth their salt will have seen at least a few Star Wars movies, but possibly not this cult classic sci-fi comedy which parodies the 60s show and all the crazy fandom associated with it. This is a movie that gets to have its cake and eat it too: it rips Trek to shreds but is also clearly in love with the show and means it no harm. Still, the real reason it works isn't merely the barmy premise (the cast of a Trek-like TV show get mistaken for the real deal by aliens and asked to help prevent intergalactic war), but the ridiculously good cast, including Tim Allen, Alan Rickman, Sam Rockwell and a mega-hot Sigourney Weaver. It's practically impossible for a Trek fan not to enjoy it, but even if you're a rare nerd who's never seen a single Trek episode, you'll still be able to enjoy the outrageous performances and hilarious premise.
