20 Movies Starring Harry Potter Actors Coming In 2017
11. Dunkirk – Kenneth Branagh
It was well over a decade ago when Kenneth Branagh appeared in the Harry Potter franchise so to refresh your memory, he played celebrity wizard and Hogwarts professor Gilderoy Lockhart in The Chamber of Secrets back in 2002. Next year, Branagh will appear in an as yet unspecified role in forthcoming war epic Dunkirk.
Directed by Christopher Nolan and featuring the cinematography of his Interstellar collaborator Hoyte van Hoytema, the movie will focus on the real-life evacuation of Allied soldiers from Dunkirk during World War II.
The movie’s budget has yet to be confirmed but considering Nolan’s $20 million paycheque and rumours that he spent $5 million on just one vintage airplane, it’s expected to be pretty damn big. Joining the cast alongside Branagh are big names like Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, Cillian Murphy and former One Direction member and tween heartthrob Harry Styles, funnily enough.
