20 Movies Starring Harry Potter Actors Coming In 2017

After the critically panned Alice Through the Looking Glass Helena Bonham Carter, a.k.a. Harry Potter’s Bellatrix Lestrange, will next try her luck in forthcoming 2017 movie 55 Steps. Which, oddly enough, is neither directed nor produced by Tim Burton.

The movie is based on the true story of Eleanor Reise, a patient at a mental health facility who initiated a class action lawsuit against a San Francisco hospital to give patients the right to refuse involuntary medication and treatment and made it all the way to the Supreme Court of California.

Bonham Carter will take on the role of Eleanor Reise and Hillary Swank will play the lawyer assigned to her case with Jeffrey Tambor and British actor Jonathan Kerrigan in supporting roles. It’s currently being dubbed as Erin Brockovich-like, but considering it’s about the sensitive issue of mental illness hopefully its Academy Award-friendly cast and the directorial talents of two-time Palme d'Or winner Bille August will treat the content with respect.
