Though Forest Whitaker will play the Obi-Wan Kenobi-esque spiritual figure Zuri in Black Panther next year, his other major 2018 performance will be on the total other end of the spectrum. In LAbyrinth, Whitaker plays "Jack" Jackson, a journalist desperately attempting to uncover the truth behind the murders of legendary rappers Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G.

Brad Furman (The Lincoln Lawyer) directs the crime thriller centered around two mysterious deaths that have fascinated the general public for two decades, and with Whitaker working opposite Johnny Depp, who plays disgraced LAPD detective Russell Poole, there's clearly a great opportunity here for two acting powerhouses to elevate each other's game.
