20 Movies Starring MCU Actors In 2018

16. Mission: Impossible 6 (Ving Rhames & Angela Bassett)

Mission Impossible Rogue Nation Ving Rhames
Paramount

Release Date: July 27

First off, in case you forgot: yes, Ving Rhames has appeared in the MCU, having a small cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 as one of Yondu's Ravager pals.

The sixth Mission: Impossible movie is an especially interesting sequel for a number of reasons: for starters, it's the first film in the series to use a director for the second time, with Rogue Nation's Christopher McQuarrie returning.

Also, given the series' rather tawdry revolving door policy on female characters, it's refreshing to see both Rebecca Ferguson and Michelle Monaghan returning alongside the usual suspects (sans Jeremy Renner, due to scheduling conflicts), while Tom Cruise is sure to completely throw himself into the insane set-pieces as per usual.

What's more, it's the first M:I film to be released in 3D, Henry Cavill plays the villain, and Angela freaking Bassett (who will play Black Panther's mother Ramonda in the upcoming solo movie) appears as the CIA Director.
