Go follows three people who all work together in the same supermarket over the 24 hour period leading up to Christmas. With a Pulp Fiction-like, frenetic structure, the movie deconstructs the end of the 90s and Generation X with the story of a drug deal gone bad at a Christmas Eve rave called Mary Christmas. Plus, the always underappreciated Timothy Olyphant rocks a Santa hat and a pre-Tom Curise Katie Holmes delightfully discusses the joys of the holiday season.
6. The Ref (1994)
Christmas is a time for all the family to get together and celebrate the season together. Now with most families (mine included), this is a double-edged sword. You love your family, but at the same time you cannot stand to be cooped up in the same house with them for too long. Tempers flare, feelings get hurt . . . well then it must be Christmas. So cat burglars looking to make a quick and easy score off Christmas gifts beware as Denis Leary quickly finds out in The Ref if you pick the wrong family, then you are in for a whole lot more than you bargained for.
