3. Spike Jonze: Fatboy Slim - "Weapon Of Choice"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oF5cBoAV5Ys The greatest music videos of the 1990s and 2000s came an the hands of two exceptionally talented visual artists; one is coming up soon, the other is skate-rat-turned-Oscar-winner Spike Jonze. Working alongside artists including the Beastie Boys, Weezer, Daft Punk and Arcade Fire, Jonze is an industry unto himself. Trying to select a single video from this master craftsman is a sincere challenge, but Fatboy Slim's big beat delight "Weapon Of Choice" serves as one of the most memorable and original. As well as carving a virtuoso career within this medium (he's still making music videos to this day), Jonze has become an indie-arthouse maestro, winning the hearts of audiences and Academy voters. Masterpieces including Being John Malkovich (1999), Where The Wild Things Are (2009) and most recently Her (2013) further render his individualism and importance to the preservation of unique audio-visual content.
