20 New Horror Movies You MUST Watch This Halloween 2023
11. A Haunting In Venice
If you want to ease yourself into Spooky Season, the third entry into Kenneth Branagh's Poirot franchise is a solid shout.
Ultimately more of a supernatural mystery-thriller than an outright horror, A Haunting in Venice nevertheless marks something of an intriguing tonal shift for the series, slipping into darker territory and in turn offering up the most dramatically intriguing of the three movies.
Outstanding visuals and a superb ensemble cast don't hurt - especially a terrific Michelle Yeoh - nor a svelte 103-minute runtime, making it considerably shorter than both Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile.
Fingers crossed its underperformance at the box office won't mark the end of Branagh's tenure as the big-screen shepherd of this property.
A Haunting in Venice is in cinemas now.
