The Tale of Tales is an Italian compilation of fairy tales written for children in the early 1600s. Despite the fact that very few people have actually heard of it, the Brothers Grimm praised the collection as the first national compendium of such stories, that featured the very specific style of storytelling of the nation from which they hail. And while a series of fairy tales seems like a difficult thing to adapt for the screen, they're certainly going to give it the old college try.
