20 Predictions For 2017's Rotten Tomatoes Scores
The DCEU continues to struggle.
2017 certainly has its share of tantalising movies on the horizon, but of course, the jury's still out on what will deliver and what will fall by the wayside.
After last year served up so many crushing disappointments (most prominently in the comic book sphere), many will be taking a "wait and see" approach this year, consulting the Tomatometer before committing their hard-earned cash.
Considering the rising cost of movie tickets and compelling, far cheaper alternative that is Netflix, that aggregate Rotten Tomatoes score means a lot, and so what better time to take a guess at what the year's biggest movies have in store for us?
Some will be depressing failures, others will exceed expectations, and some will land bang-on what you anticipate from them.
Ahead of the year's biggest movies hitting cinemas, here are 20 predictions for 2017's Rotten Tomatoes scores...
20. Logan (78%)
Predicted Critical Consensus: "A brutal, bleak comic book movie for mature audiences, Logan is a fond, affecting farewell for Hugh jackman's iconic superhero."
There's a tidal wave of hype behind this R-rated Wolverine movie, and while that's sure to win it a ton of fans, remember that Logan's two solo movies to date haven't exactly been immense critical successes (X-Men Origins: Wolverine scored just 38% and The Wolverine nailed a decent but underwhelming 69%).
Though it's possible that there could be shady third-act shenanigans, expect critics to mostly praise Logan as a fitting swan song for Jackman...assuming this really is his final time in the role.
