20 Predictions For 2018's Rotten Tomatoes Scores

9. A Wrinkle In Time (84%)

Predicted Critical Consensus: "A stylish, diverse, genre-hopping fantasy, A Wrinkle in Time overcomes its narrative familiarity thanks to a strong cast and Ava DuVernay's skillful direction."

This adaptation of Madeleine L'Engle's 1962 novel doesn't look like a particularly unique or interesting movie on a pure plot level, but the style and cast are undeniably alluring, and with the film being the first $100+ million live-action movie ever directed by a black woman, it's safe to say that just about everyone wants it to succeed.

That's not to say critics that are going to take it unfairly easy on A Wrinkle in Time - because the film looks like a rock solid fantasy flick regardless - but with so much diversity behind and in front of the camera, it's an easy project to root for.
