20 Predictions For 2018's Rotten Tomatoes Scores

18. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (56%)

Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom

Predicted Critical Consensus: "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom delivers plenty of exciting dinosaur action, but it's at the considerable expense of a memorable plot or compelling characters."

It's still pretty surprising that 2015's Jurassic World scored a solid 71% with critics considering how much fans generally disliked it, and though Fallen Kingdom has roped in a far more talented filmmaker in J.A. Bayona (The Impossible, A Monster Calls), the movie's first trailer is...not great.

Though the digital dino mayhem is sure to be entertaining to a point, there's little so far to suggest this will be anything more than another mediocre Jurassic Park sequel that fails to make good on the original's brilliance.

It's going to feed off audience nostalgia and their overwhelming appetite for dinosaurs while knowing full well that it doesn't need to be anything more than decent to make an easy billion dollars at the box office.

It'll be perfectly mediocre, basically, though critics will still give it a fairly generous near-fresh score.
