Predicted Critical Consensus: "Tim Burton provides a visually stunning update to Disney's animated classic, but Dumbo's story feels positively stuck in the past."

While there's virtually no doubt that Dumbo will be a box office smash, it's likely to be a superficial pleasure above all else, with Tim Burton probably failing to make much interesting out of Ehren Kruger's (Transformers franchise, Ghost in the Shell) script.

The digital Dumbo certainly looks adorable, but some of the other CGI elements aren't quite as convincing, and don't be surprised if this turns out less like The Jungle Book and more like Burton's own Alice in Wonderland.
