20 Predictions For This Oscar Season's Rotten Tomatoes Scores
8. Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk (88%)
Predicted Critical Consensus: "Technically incredible and providing a strong platform for newcomer Joe Alwyn, Billy Lynn sees Ang Lee deliver a provocative, emotional think-piece on the nature of war and our role in it."
Expect there to be much discussion of and praise for Lee's decision to shoot the movie at 120 FPS, which from early sizzle reel screenings is reportedly mind-blowing to behold.
Plus, it's based on Ben Fountain's highly acclaimed debut novel, has a damning indictment of war, a potentially starmaking part for a young lead actor, and a fantastic supporting cast (including Kristen Stewart, Vin Diesel, Steve Martin, Chris Tucker, Garrett Hedlund and Tim Blake Nelson).
Oh, and let's not forget that Lee has only one critically Rotten film to his name (Taking Woodstock), which still got mixed reviews, and he's won two Best Director Oscars already. Consider this a front-runner until told otherwise.
