Despite the outstanding quality of the score of The Lion King, the songs performed by the characters throughout are so catchy and fun that its not even annoying when the choruses get stuck in our heads for the foreseeable future. Particularly unforgettable are I Just Cant Wait To Be King and Can You Feel The Love Tonight? (which won composer Elton John and lyricist Tim Rice the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1994), and theres an inappropriately fun bounce to Scars dastardly Be Prepared, but anybody who has seen the movie more than once and claims to have never tried to sing along with the Zulu vocals of the opening Circle Of Life is either fibbing or seriously missing out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zLx_JtcQVI
Fiction buff and writer. If it's on Netflix, it's probably in my queue. I've bought DVDs for the special features and usually claim that the book is better than the movie or show (and can provide examples). I've never met a TV show that I won't marathon. Follow on Twitter @lah9891 .
