18. Gratuitous Sex and Nudity
Horror is inherently linked with sex and nudity - especially the Italian Giallo films which are crammed to the rafters with hot naked crumpet and all sorts of sexual perversions. If you are up for it, Joe D'Amato directed several porno-horror hybrids such as Emanuelle in America and Porno Holocaust. People usually don't happen to watch horror films for the sex or nudity. But it is a welcome addition to many films to see - say the like of the beautiful Edwige Fenech - lying around in a state of undress. Jess Franco's Female Vampire was considerably enlivened by the presence of Lina Romay wearing nothing but a pair of thigh high boots for the entire film. Without that, the film would have both simultaneously sucked and blown. In fact any Franco horror film with Lina Romay or Soledad Miranda in it is worth the price of admission for nudity alone, let alone horror.
