8. Firefly

And then when we€™d started to outgrow Angel, Whedon quickly put another logical stepping stone in front of us €“ I guess it€™s true what they say about getting €˜em young. Despite being criminally short-lived €“ thanks to several bungles at the network including airing episodes out of order and placing it in the Friday night death slot - Firefly became an instant cult-classic. For me, although Firefly was never quite as huge as Buffy or Angel, it was probably the best show of the bunch. Despite being dangerously similar to Star Wars at its core, Firefly is of course very different thanks to its unique Whedonesque twist €“ what if Han Solo was the protagonist?
