18. "Shoelace" - Half-Blood Prince

The Line: Ginny meets Harry on the stairs and after some brief banter, she says "Shoelace", before kneeling down to tie his untied shoe and they wish each other a Merry Christmas. Why It's Ridiculous: Fans of the source material frequently complain about how poorly handled the romance between Harry and Ginny was in the films, with Daniel Radcliffe frankly having considerably stronger chemistry with Emma Watson's Hermione than Bonnie Wright's Ginny. Even so, this scene just plays as horribly awkward, and doesn't quite nail the pervasive sexual tension director David Yates was clearly shooting for. For starters, who seriously gets down and ties somebody else's shoe? You'd point out their untied lace and then let them tie it themselves, right? And of course, numerous fans have pointed out the not-so-subtle innuendo of Ginny kneeling down to "do Harry a favour". It's just horribly, hilariously awkward.
