20 Rotten Tomatoes Predictions For 2022's Biggest Movies

18. Turning Red (90%)

Buzz Lightyear
Pixar

Pixar has enjoyed arguably the most impressive critical winning streak of any major Hollywood studio over the last quarter-century, with just one of their 24 movies to date landing a Rotten rating (Cars 2 with 40%).

Their upcoming coming-of-age fantasy film Turning Red looks like another easy slam-dunk.

Director Domee Shi previously helmed the studio's acclaimed, Oscar-winning short film Bao, and the trailers make a pretty clear indication that this should be another gorgeous, emotionally rich character-driven comedy as has been their bread and butter over the years.

If the relatively boilerplate Onward of all things can still score an 88% approval rating with critics, 90% feels like the floor for something that looks far more imaginative and interesting.
