20 Rotten Tomatoes Predictions For 2022's Biggest Movies
12. Jurassic World: Dominion (65%)
The Jurassic Park franchise is about as inconsistent as they come critically - Fresh scores were awarded to both the original movie (92%) and soft reboot Jurassic World (71%), while Rotten went to The Lost World (53%), Jurassic Park III (49%), and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (47%).
Yet these movies have never been panned and probably won't start now, and while it'd be foolish to expect incredible things from the upcoming sixth film, it should be a fair improvement upon Fallen Kingdom.
For starters, Fallen Kingdom actually ended with a pretty compelling sequel hook, and with Dominion focusing on dinosaurs rampaging across the U.S. mainland, it'll hopefully deliver the carnage that was only hinted at in The Lost World's underwhelming off-island third act.
Also, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum are back as Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, and Ian Malcolm, which alone will probably add an easy 10-15% onto the Tomatometer score, especially as they're reportedly returning for more than mere cameos.
Nobody's expecting greatness from this, but it should score approval from around two-thirds of critics, even with Colin Trevorrow back in the director's chair.
