20 Rotten Tomatoes Predictions For 2023's Biggest Movies

Disney's live-action remakes of their animated classics have been all over the map quality-wise, making it tough to predict how any upcoming ones will turn out.

And even if we look instead to director Rob Marshall for an indication of its quality, he's a similarly divisive component, with three Fresh and three Rotten movies to his name to date, such that The Little Mermaid basically feels like a coin flip.

Yet encouragingly original composer Alan Menken is returning to provide the score and compose new songs, and early test screenings have also gone down well.

Critics are considerably more jaded with the live-action Disney remakes than general audiences, but if the early scuttlebutt can be believed, it'll at least squeak into Fresh territory.
