20 Rotten Tomatoes Predictions For 2023's Biggest Movies

16. Dune: Part Two (80%)

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom Jason Momoa
Warner Bros.

Denis Villeneuve's Dune wasn't an unqualified success but rocked a solid 83%, and given the sheer meticulousness of Villeneuve's craft, it's sensible to anticipate a consistent follow-up that scores more-or-less the same.

Though the second half of Frank Herbert's sci-fi opus is notoriously tricky to adapt - just ask David Lynch - and will likely result in Dune: Part Two landing a hair lower than its predecessor, given the stellar job Villeneuve did making sense of Part One, there's no reason to doubt him here either.

In the very least, it'll be a visually stunning, moody slice of technically astonishing genre filmmaking, and that should be enough to get it an 80% score or more.
