20 Saddest Moments In Marvel's Cinematic Universe (So Far)

6. Loki Learns The Truth

One of the great things about Marvel€™s movies is that every one of them has its fans. For every homerun €“ Guardians, The Avengers, The Winter Soldier €“ there€™s a First Avenger or Incredible Hulk held in equally high esteem by a sizeable pocket of admirers. Thor€™s first solo outing certainly fits into that category, with Kenneth Branagh€™s ambitious fantasy retaining the affections of plenty of MCU acolytes despite a middling overall reception. One character, however, who was a hit across the board was Loki, brought to life with impish glee by Tom Hiddleston. And Hiddleston brought a whole lot more than scheming chicanery to the table, showing the full range of his acting pedigree alongside fellow Brit Anthony Hopkins when Odin reveals Loki ain€™t a true Odinson. The result was a simple, powerful scene that fully justified the Marvel blueprint of favouring accomplished actors over movie stars.

I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
