20 Saddest Moments In Marvel's Cinematic Universe (So Far)

17. Loki Redeemed

Avengers: Age Of Ultron may be another raucously entertaining Marvel movie but it€™s far from flawless. The third act is another achingly familiar end-of-the-world scenario and the villain of the piece something of a misfire €“ criticisms that have been levelled plenty of times as the MCU has expanded. Thor: The Dark World suffered from these problems and more, but fortunately it also had Loki on hand to fill the void created by the bland Malekith. And, just for a second, it looked as though Loki might make up for all those years of mischief when he sacrificed himself to take out Algrim and reduce his brother to manly tears. It was never likely to be the last we€™d see of Loki but Chris Hemsworth sells the moment well enough to make it a poignant scene.

I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
