8. Helena Bonham Carter's Salvation Character Is From A Terminator Novel
Despite getting top billing in the film's credits and throughout all the promotion, Helena Bonham Carter only gets five minutes of screentime in Terminator Salvation, and appears on screen for a total of ten minutes. Her character's quite important regardless, Dr Serena Kogan being the Cyberdyne Systems employee who turns Marcus Wright into a robot. She sets off the whole plot essentially, but after that her appearances are few and far between. In fact she has a much more key part in the Terminator franchise as a whole the character's widely believed to have been derived from Serena Burns, another Terminator who appeared in some T-2 spin-off novels where she secures the birth of Skynet.
