Combining elements of Reservoir Dogs, From Dusk Till Dawn and George Romero’s living dead films, Junk is the kind of zombie movie that could only be made in Japan – senseless, over the top and full of extras speaking phonetically remembered English dialogue. But what it lacks in subtlety (and good filmmaking) it makes up for in sheer fun.

There’s Mexican standoffs, mad scientists and comic book action to spare, all of which adds up to a great beer o’clock movie.
