While not exactly the most pleasant of films, Hostel Part II is a surprisingly strong horror sequel that improves on its terrible predecessor in almost every way. As such, even if it is an acquired taste, it being nominated for Worst Prequel or Sequel and Worst Excuse for a Horror Movie (a special category that only featured in the 2008 ceremony) was ludicrously unfair.

There were some far more deserving choices this year, but the ones which really leap to mind are Spider-Man 3 for Worst Prequel or Sequel and Saw IV for Worst Excuse for a Horror Movie.

Spider-Man 3 was a colossal mess and is still one of the most-loathed sequels of all time; it also contains the Emo Peter Parker scene and that alone makes it worthy of a nod.

Saw IV, meanwhile, was a far worse horror sequel and if the Razzies wanted to nominate a Torture-Porn horror sequel, than Saw IV would've been a much better choice.
