9. Kevin Feige Threatened To Leave Marvel Unless He Was Granted More Control Over The MCU

Can you imagine a MCU without Kevin Feige at the helm? The right answer is: "No, of course not!" And yet such a thing almost actually happened earlier this year when the Marvel Studios president threatened to leave unless he was given more control over the franchise - namely in the financial department. He wanted there to be less pressure to report to CEO Ike Perlmutter, preferring to report straight to Disney. Feige has been responsible for keeping consistency in the MCU ever since its inception, of course; without him leading the charge, things could get ugly really, really quickly. Thankfully Disney agreed with that sentiment and sided with Feige. This triggered a huge shakeup within Marvel Studios, but essentially Feige got what he asked for. Can you picture what might have happened to the MCU had its president threatened to leave and Disney said "Okay, go!" It might have marked the end of a quality-controlled MCU!
