20 Things That Almost Completely Changed The MCU

3. Adam Sandler Could Have Voiced Rocket Racoon

Rocket could have gone horribly, horribly wrong. After all, he's an aggressive, talking space racoon - as far as superheroes go, he's a true original. Thanks to Bradley Cooper's brilliant voice work, though, Rocket avoided comparisons to Jar Jar Binks-like characters; instead, he was arguably the most hilarious and sympathetic character in the whole film. Which was surprising, to the least. That said, Marvel originally considered very irritating anti-comic Adam Sandler as a potential mouthpiece for the character before they eventually opted for Cooper. Can you imagine how that would have gone down had it been realised? How grating a racoon voiced by the insufferable Adam Sandler would have been on the big screen? Hiring Sandler wouldn't have merely changed the MCU, then - it would have spoiled it forever!
