20 Things The X-Men Movies Actually Got Right

There are so many characters that deserved a lot more screen time than they got in the X-Men series. Jubilee springs to mind immediately. Another one of these characters is Alan Cumming's Nightcrawler from X-Men 2.

Perhaps the best designed character in the entire series, Cumming's gives an emotional yet funny performance as Kurt Wagner, diving deep into the backstory of the character and his time in the circus. It's Nightcrawler's relationship with Storm that really helps establish him as a key member of the team.

Finally, the practical design of Nightcrawler is beautiful. The X-Men series obviously need a lot of blue people for their films; Mystique, Beast etc. However, the little touches on Nightcrawler such as the patterned scars and the facial features really makes him stand out in X-Men 2 as one of the fan favourites of that film.
