You'll be forgiven for not being aware that there is in fact a sequel to American Psycho, the direct-to-video follow-up American Psycho II: All American Girl.

The film, directed by Morgan J. Freeman - no, not that one - stars Mila Kunis as a criminology student compelled to kill, while William Shatner co-stars as her ill-fated college professor. Yikes.

To rub salt in the wound, the film opens with the murder of Patrick Bateman (played by a stand-in) at the hands of Kunis' new murderous protagonist.

In 2005, an embarrassed Kunis confirmed that the film was cynically re-purposed into an American Psycho sequel in post-production, saying, "When I did the second one, I didn't know it would be American Psycho II. It was supposed to be a different project, and it was re-edited."
