20 Things You Didn't Know About Batman & Robin

4. It's The Only Batman Movie Where A Bad Guy Doesn't Find Out His Secret Identity

Over the years, Batman has gotten into a really terrible habit of letting his villains figure out his secret identity, which more often than not comes back to haunt him in the long run. However, Batman & Robin marks the only time in the long and illustrious history of the franchise that none of the bad guys ever realize that Bruce Wayne is the man under the cape and cowl.

In Tim Burton's original Bruce admits it to the Joker, both Penguin and Catwoman see him unmasked in Batman Returns, while the Riddler and Two-Face discover it by reading his mind in Batman Forever. Even in the Christopher Nolan trilogy, Ra's al Ghul obviously knows from the start in Batman Begins, weaselly Coleman Reese figures it out in The Dark Knight in an attempted extortion scheme, while Miranda Tate, Selina Kyle and Bane are all aware of his secret by the end of The Dark Knight Rises.

If that doesn't hammer home the point that these are the dumbest villains in the dumbest Batman movie all, out of Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy and Bane, none of the three even have the faintest clue about who those rubber nipples really belong to, although Bane might get a pass for being little more than a grunting henchman.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
