20 Things You Didn't Know About Catwoman

17. Michelle Pfeiffer Makes A Fleeting Appearance

Although Halle Berry's Catwoman ultimately served to remind audiences of how great Michelle Pfeiffer was in the role, Pfeiffer still gets a very brief moment onscreen in the film.

In the sequence in which Ophelia Powers reveals to Patience that she died and was reborn as a cat woman, Ophelia unveils numerous documents and photographs in support of her argument. They depict the other women that her cat, Midnight, has allegedly rescued across the centuries and transformed into strong, independent women.

Holding a prominent position amongst these photographs is a publicity shot of Michelle Pfeiffer's interpretation of Catwoman from Batman Returns - a knowing nod to Warner Brothers' aim to reinvigorate the Batman franchise and to the involvement of producer, Denise Di Novi who produced both films.

I started writing for WhatCulture in July 2020. I have always enjoyed reading and writing. I have contributed to several short story competitions and I have occasionally been fortunate enough to have my work published. During the COVID-19 lockdown, I also started reviewing films on my Facebook page. Numerous friends and contacts suggested that I should start my own website for reviewing films, but I wanted something a bit more diverse - and so here I am! My interests focus on film and television mainly, but I also occasionally produce articles that venture into other areas as well. In particular, I am a fan of the under appreciated sequel (of which there are many), but I also like the classics and the mainstream too.
