As much as Nolan has been compared to Alfred Hitchcock throughout his career, he's typically a little more modest about putting himself in front of the camera, and hasn't appeared on-screen in any of his movies to date.

He did, however, make a sneaky voice-over cameo in Memento, when Nolan realised during post-production that Joe Pantoliano - who played Teddy in the film - didn't deliver a crucial line reading quite to his satisfaction.

In the early scene where Teddy says to Leonard (Guy Pearce), "You don't have a clue, you freak!," Nolan decided to re-dub the words "you freak" himself, opting to impersonate Pantoliano rather than bring him into a recording booth for a mere two lines of ADR.

It's a spot-on impression, and there's no way anyone would possibly know otherwise.
