8. Linda Fiorentino Was Originally Supposed To Play A Major Supporting Role

Earlier drafts of the script actually featured an additional female character, and though little is known about the nature of her role, she was reportedly due to be played by none other than the brilliant - if famously difficult - Linda Fiorentino.

Though she'd later go on to pick up massive acclaim for her unforgettable performance in 1994's neo-noir The Last Seduction, at the time Fiorentino was a low-flying, on-the-rise actress, so it goes without saying that this would've given her a major early career boost.

But given that Die Hard 2 is already arguably overstuffed with characters and plots as it is, it's probably for the best that the cut was made.
