20 Things You Didn't Know About Die Hard 2

7. All Of The Featured Airlines Are Fictional

The name of the British airline whose plane is crashed by Colonel Stuart is "Windsor," which in addition to sharing its name with the UK's House of Windsor, is unsurprisingly completely fictional.

As it turns out, most airlines aren't particularly enthusiastic to show their branded airplanes crashing on-screen, and so Hollywood is typically forced to defer to made-up airlines where aviation accidents are concerned.

Yet Windsor actually sounds real enough, and let's be honest, you've probably never even given it a second thought. Elsewhere in the film "Northeast Airlines" is also featured, which borrows its name from a real airline that went defunct in 1972.
